How to Export Windows Outlook to Mac Mail with Attachments

Windows & Mac Operating System are used by users as per their requirement in commercial or personal field. In such stage, there may be increased possibility to export from one OS to another OS and users may want to export data from one mail client to another one. If we explore email clients then Outlook is the most popular for Windows and Apple Mail is the most popular for Mac OS. Since PST is the proprietary format of Outlook, we can easily import it in Outlook using its import option, but we cannot directly import .pst data in other email client.

Apple Mail is the email client of iOS, macOS, & watchOS Operating Systems which is provided by Apple. It is also known as Mac Mail or Mail.app. Basically it is developed by Next as NeXTMail, a part of NeXTSTEP Operating System, but finally it became mail after Apple’s acquirement of NeXT. It supports functions – SMTP, POP3, IMAP, etc. Accounts, iCloud, Flagged, Unread Status, address book, etc. Basically it supports .mbox format which stands for MailBOX. We can easily import MBOX files in Mac Mail by Import Mailboxes option of Mac Mail. Similarly by Export Mailbox option (Selecting any Mailbox then go to Export Mailbox), we can easily export emails from Mac Mail as .mbox file format.

How to Export Windows Outlook to Mac Mail Completely


We have known that both email clients supports different file formats and Neither Outlook supports function to directly export PST data in Mac Mail directly nor Apple Mail supports function to import PST files, so we have to convert Outlook PST files to MBOX then we can easily do this task. And for that there is no direct or manual method due the different email client of different machine OS.
